Turned spalted beech wood vase, with a hollow neck to hold dried flowers or grasses. Spalting results from the presence of fungi in the wood grain, resulting in areas of dark patternation.
Three variations in design pictured in foreground of photo: short stout-necked spalted vase measuring approximately 60mm across the base and 130mm in height, small funnel-necked spalted vase measuring tall 135mm tall and 70mm in diameter, and tall long-necked vase (minimal spalting) measuring 70mm across base and 200mm in height. Neck aperture approximately 8mm wide.
The maker will re-stock as vases are purchased. As vases are handmade in a natural material there will be variations to the sizes and to the colouration of the wood. If you would like a photograph of available vases before we post out to you please email us.
