Hand-thrown stoneware tea bowl with surface facets and fully glazed interior. The beauty of a handmade product is its unique quality: each one is variable, so please expect differences in the sizes, and also variations in the colour of the glazes. Measures approximately 70mm wide in diameter x 80mm tall, made in Kent.

Lucy Rutter’s work has a pared back functionality that beautifully expresses the important relationship between form and everyday use. The observation of pots in the studio, and their use in the domestic space, inform many small revisions of the work. This allows it to evolve, in terms of shape, weight and surface. Her final designs are elegant and minimal; influenced by Scandinavian design, and perhaps by formal poetry.
