Brush Stroke Clusters I

Artist’s statement
These start out as pages that I use to test or practice brush strokes while making other paintings. I end up semi-consciously composing or organising the strokes as I go along, as well as inventing rules for them, such as no stroke can touch another and each stroke is made directly after dipping the brush in ink.
