Geometric Madder Tote

Large tote bag designed and made by Louisa Loakes. This bag was hand block printed in India using natural dyes from the root of the Madder plant.

Block printing is a technique that involves transferring designs and patterns onto fabric. A block is covered in dye this is then pressed onto the fabric – this can be then repeated over the entire surface of the fabric to create a pattern repeat.

The fabric is a 100% organic soft linen/cotton mix, and is fully lined using naturally Iron dyed cotton fabric.

Measures approx 50cm x 40cm.
