Hand-thrown stoneware mug, dolomite glazed in a gas-fired kiln. Approximately 80mm x 90m high, made in Kent.
This beautiful matte oat coloured glaze used by Gillian for this collection of tableware has a distinct crazed effect, which is more visible when the piece is heated or contains boiling water. Please note that the clay is completely impervious and fired to 1265°C. This is just a decorative effect.
