Hand-thrown stoneware butter dish, dolomite glazed in a gas-fired kiln. Diameter approximately 130mm, height 85cm. Made in Kent.
This beautiful matte oat coloured glaze used by Gillian for this collection of tableware has a distinct crazed effect, which is more visible when the piece is heated or washed with very hot water. Please note that the clay is completely impervious and fired to 1265°C. This is just a decorative effect.
