Dart was written and developed as part of the Poetry Society’s Poetry Places scheme funded by the ‘Arts for Everyone’ budget of the Arts Council of England’s Lottery Department. Winner of the T.S. Eliot Prize in 2002, this poem creates a wonderfully varied and idiomatic narrative of the River Dart in Devon. A hypnotic work, it is the first book that Alice Oswald published with Faber and Faber.
