Fern Taylor

Having recently left her job to work on her ceramics full time, Fern Taylor makes all her ceramics by hand in Deptford, South London.

She studied Fine art and Art history at Kingston university with a focus on painting, Fern dipped her toe into the world of ceramics after finding inspiration from the work of Gertrud Vasegaard.

The majority of Fern’s work is made using a technique called ‘nerikomi’ – a process of stacking, cutting and rolling together pieces of different coloured clays to create patterns.
