Gorse Welsh Blanket

This intricate double weave design named ‘Knot Garden’ was created in the 1950’s with help from the rural industries board, and has been in continuous production since the 1960’s. Now re-imagined in new colourways, each being of a limited edition run.

Made from 100% pure new wool and edged with a simple hem, making it fully reversible.

Melin Tregwynt is a small whitewashed wooden mill hidden away in a remote wooded valley on the Pembrokeshire coast.

A mill has stood on this site since the 17th century  and has been owned by the same family since 1912.

The blankets and other textiles are the outcome of a way of thinking, of working and of living handed down through the generations.
